Gentian Lutea

Gentian lutea is a perennial herb, which is native to mountain areas of southern and central Europe. There is also another name of this plant- the Yellow Gentian. This name is directly connected with the yellow color of gentian flower. The Yellow Gentian belongs to gentian group of plants. There are about 180 species of gentians in this group.

This herb is valuable for herbal medicine, because of its useful properties. Gentian lutea is one of the best tonics and boosters for our organism. First of all it regulates our appetite and helps our organism to fight against germs. The most important part of the plant is root. It has been used since ancient times, due to its natural bitterness. Before using roots are dried. Its taste is a little bit sweet at first, but then it becomes bitter. Gentian is used to treat:
