ABOUT GROUND IVY (GLECHOMA HEDERACEA)
Ground ivy is a plant, which blooms approximately a week later than coltsfoot. It can be found in raspberry bushes, grassy forests along rivers and lakes. It has beautiful blue flowers, but in general the plant is not pretentious. However it has a strong and pleasant aroma, especially when you touch it with your fingers.
HOW TO USE GROUND IVY
Ground Ivy - Glechoma hederacea has a wide range of usage. Tea made from this plant is used in folk medicine for colds, bronchitis, gastritis, kidney disease, inflammation of the bladder and liver. Ground ivy is effective for gargling in case of having tonsillitis, also for treating furuncles and other suppurations simply apply pounded Ground Ivy Herbs on the affected skin area, inflammation will quickly "mature" and soon pus will come out.
TINCTURES, REMEDIES and RECEPIES from GROUND IVY
GROUND IVY TINCTURE 1
Pour one teaspoon of the remedy with a cup of boiling water, leave for 20-30 minutes. Take internally 1/3 cup three times a day.
GROUND IVY TINCTURE 2
Pour one tablespoon of the dried plant with a cup of boiling water, leave for 20-30 minutes. Use for rinsing and compresses.
It should be noted that the plant is a bit toxic, so the dosage should not be exceeded.
