HEPATICA NOBILIS HERB.
Hepatica nobilis is an evergreen perennial herb. It has very beautiful blue flowers. What is surprising is that it does not die in the open winter frost, when everything is frozen to the state of flint. Since ancient times there were a connection between the name of the plant and its usage in medicine. Hepatica nobilis was used to treatment liver and gallbladder. That’s why the plant got the name Hepatica nobilis Mill. “Hepar” comes from Latin and means “liver”, “nobilis” – “familiar”, “well-known”.
Nowadays hepatica nobilis is used in folk medicine for liver inflammation (hepatitis), inflammation of the gallbladder, bile congestion, cholelithiasis. This plant also has diuretic properties.
Hepatica nobilis is collected during flowering with leaves. It should be chopped and dried immediately. Please note and remember that it is dangerous to use fresh plant, as it may be toxic.
HEPATICA NOBILIS STEAMER
Place 2 teaspoons of dried plant with a glass of hot water, keep in a warm place, for example, in an oven for 6 hours. Take 1/3 cup three times a day (internally), 10-15 minutes before meals for the treatment of liver disease.
Hepatica nobilis is also used in the treatment of chronic bronchitis. The components of the plant kill bacteria. For this purpose, prepare an infusion.
HEPATICA NOBILIS TINCTURE
Place a handful of a dried plant with 0.5 liters of vodka and put on the window sill in the sun. A month later, drain. Take 15 drops dripped on a sugar cube two times a day after meals.
