Q: I would what to know if ti's safe for me to take Swedish Bitters during my pregnancy and later-on when breastfeeding? 

A: It't not recommended to take Swedish Bitters during pregnancy and while breastfeeding. 

Q: Can a diabetic person use it?

A: Swedish Bitters can help to regulate and lower sugar in blood - diabetic person can use Swedish Bitters. Please always consult with your doctor before using Swedish Bitters, especially if you are taking any medications. 

Q: I have major stomach problems and I’m not sure what to do anymore. Had my gallbladder out and now my bile duct doesn’t work right anymore. Also have gerd and my epshogus closes up and I have to get it dilated sometimes, they say it’s caused from my sphincter muscle spasms - now my doctor wants to put me on nortriptyline and I’m so sick of taking medicine was wondering if Swedish bitters would help at all.

A: One of the main functions of the Swedish Bitters is to promote secretion of pancreatic and gastric juices and soothe the digestive tract. Tonic stimulates liver functions and promotes secretion of bile from the liver. Please talk to your doctor, if you can be using Swedish Bitters, especially if you are taking medications. 

Q: I just want to ask if Swedish Bitter can help to lose weight?

A: Swedish Bitters is not a weight loss remedy, but tonic stimulates liver functions and promotes secretion of bile from the liver that serves to emulsify or break down dietary fat and clear cholesterol out of our body. Having a healthy liver will enhance the overall digestion process and a smooth nutrient absorption which does help if you are trying to lose weight.

Q: I am concerned about the best daily dose of Swedish bitters and how long is safe to use it?

A: Its recommended to take 1 tbsp. of Swedish Bitters elixir twice a day (it is possible to take 1 tbsp. 3-4 times a day. It may be diluted in a glass of tea, water or juice.

Take Bitters Mix for the course of 14 to 30 days, at which point it is recommended you take a break. Then the course can be repeated if necessary.

Q: I have a bottle of Maria Treben’s Swedish for more than ten years. It is sealed tightly. Is it safe to use now?

A:  I would suggest to get in contact with the company that made it, and get an answer from them. It depends on the way Swedish Bitters was made. Generally it is safe to use Swedish Bitters for up to 3 years from the date it was made. 

Q: I been having problems with my gallbladder getting stones. I really do not want to have surgery so it was suggested that I try Swedish Bitters. I just tried it, it is awful I have never tasted anything like this before my mouth was on fire and I began to choke. After I got myself composed, I went to the internet to find more information on this product. The reviews showed that it should be mixed with some type of juice I strongly recommend if you do try this product to mix it with juice!

A: It is recommended to take Swedish Bitters diluted with a glass of water, tea of juice. I love the stuff and it seems to work wonders for my digestion.
